Here are some of the great things that All About Water clients have to say about our service and products!
Awesome experience...Kayaks were left where we could access Lake Michigan. They were all in good working condition. Paddled up the big lake to Sleeping Bear Dunes shoreline. Everything was timely and organized...thanks Jeff
We had a lovely morning kayaking on Victoria Creek. No crowds, beautiful scenery around every bend, wild roses and water lilies blooming, multiple Great Blue Heron and kingfisher sightings. Best of all it was so simple. Reserve the kayaks on line, show up at the agreed upon spot, go for a paddle and leave the kayak at the appropriate place. If you are looking for a tranquil, peaceful outing, this is for you!
I love adventures instead of things, and my mom had gotten me a kayak tour for my birthday through Jeff! From making the reservation, to helping us pick the best spot to go on our kayaking trip, Jeff was so reliable and easy to work with! I ended up bringing my fiancé with me on the excursion in a tandem kayak and we laughed with Jeff about what a great communication building exercise it would end up being! In reality, the water was clear and still as glass, making for an insanely relaxing couple of hours on Suttons Bay! We LOVED it. Would highly recommend this company for your next adventure!
Booked two Kayaks a day before the trip. On our way driving there, received a text message saying the Kayaks were ready. When arrived, saw the Kayaks in neat condition. The kids were excited. Spent 4 hours on North Bar Lake and Lake Michigan. Then left the Kayaks there for them to pickup. Later received a text message saying they retrieved everything.
No wait, never met anyone, but the process was efficient with a lot of mutual trust. Overall, a great day and a smooth rental experience, and the price is reasonable.
Thank you, and will try it again if we go to Traverse City next year.
just did a great kayak trip with the family at Sleeping Bear Dunes and it was great. Jeff instructed us where to go and dropped the kayaks right where he said he would. Took a little off road trip to get to North Bar lake which added to the adventure. We were able to paddle to the dune climb which did not disappoint . Thanks for the wonderful memory!
As someone coming from out of town, I really appreciated the guidance before and during the rental. Jeff helped us plan out exactly where we wanted the kayak delivered so we could have a calm inland lake to spend time in and the option to trek out to Lake Michigan for a more "ambitious" experience. Not many companies nearby give you the access to Lake Michigan, and the price was way better than the our other options.
Jeff was incredibly communicative about the weather the night before, as well as delivery time on the morning of. We had a rough morning weather-wise and he graciously gave us a few extra hours at the end of the day when the water had calmed down at no extra cost so we didn't have to cut our excursion short. The kayak was in excellent shape and was high-quality, which I really appreciated. It was there when we wanted it, and leaving it for pick-up was incredibly easy. I had no complaints at all about the experience, and we had such a blast. Highly recommend!
Previous to making the reservation, I had many questions and Jeff was very patient and helpful. Our family of 4 rented 4 kayaks and met up with other friends who had their own kayaks, and reserved a half-day to paddle North Bar Lake and out into Lake Michigan to below the Sleeping Bear Dunes/Pierce Stocking Drive area. It was fabulous (a perfect weather day didn't hurt!)! The kayaks were easy to maneuver, easy to use (comfortable!), and we had plenty of time for a relaxing 4 hours to kayak where we wanted to. I'd highly recommend this experience, if you have been to the top of the dunes and want to see the bottom! Having vacationed in the area for over 20 years, this was something new and a highlight!
We had a wonderful time today! Saw lots of birds, and dolphins! The drop off and pick-up is so smooth and convenient; great idea!
I have kayaked many times over the past ten years. Am in my late 60's/retired and VERY active. My aunt, who is 80 and also VERY active and has kayaked before, and I wanted to take two friends kayaking. They had NEVER gone kayaking before and were a bit apprehensive. Long story short: THE 4 OF US HAD THE BEST TIME EVER ON THE IMPERIAL RIVER.!! We parked our car at the lot; Jeff met us at 9:00 a.m.; he "vanned" us to the top of the Imperial River. He explained everything to us on the way (was Sooo nice!).
The river was shallow and meandering for the first 2 miles ------ just right for first-timers. At one point, we got out to move our kayaks off of some shallow mossy rocks. (The water was up to our calves. Ha!) No big deal!
The top half of the river is canopied with trees/plants and we saw many species of birds. There were home/patios that we never expected to see along the river. All so very beautiful.
The river widened for the final 2 miles. We arrived to our destination (car lot) around 12:30...... got our kayaks/paddles on shore as Jeff instructed us.
I had packed a cooler with sandwiches/wine/candles and a white linen table cloth. We celebrated our kayak adventure in style. JUST DO IT! Joyce Knappe
Rented the Kayak's while in Florida with my family. Not only did he deliver the Kayak's as promised, but early and didn't charge us. As it was an extremely windy day we returned to shore early and Jeff notified us that he received all the equipment so it wasn't on the back our mind wondering if we did everything correctly.
Even with the crappy weather, we had the most amazing experience on the waters and even had dolphins swimming along side of us.
Would definitely do it again and maybe even do a river trip next time I am in town.
